He's young, he's talented and he managed to get his debut novel published by one of the UK's favourite publishing houses, the cutting edge company Canongate which publishes Obama's books too. Today I'll be interviewing Chris Killen on the Meet an Author show and inviting him to read from his stunning novel 'The Bird Room'. Critics have been impressed by this unusual novel, which gives a wonderful picture of the Internet generation as they get to their twenties and try to form relationships. I tried reading it and found the critics were right - once you start reading the first page you can't put it down. It twists so many times that I can't give away the plot, but it has been described as a Chinese puzzle that takes you deep into the characters' personalities, obsessions and sexuality.
